Born in 1969 in the Rhineland, Germany, O. E. Wendt now lives and writes in his adopted home of France, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, where he is also working on further projects.

After publishing sixteen of his own books and contributing to four anthologies in German language, O. E. Wendt now feels as if he is in familiar territory in outer space.

Thanks to his part-time job with an international airline, he has been traveling to all continents for over 25 years — and he’s developed a great love for countless places around the world. With this ever-changing side job, he keeps getting a little closer to the stars.

In his younger years, he worked in the Fantasy and Sci-Fi genres, but he has long since concentrated entirely on Sci-Fi, turning primarily to his space opera Galactic Journeys.

He also passionately devotes himself to independent stand-alone novels in the hard Sci-Fi genre, in which he explores serious and critical topics in apocalyptic scenarios or utopian worlds.
